AXE Denim Talc
As of late I have tried a good number of products for which I have not had time to write posts for. This is a bit of a catching up phase.
Some months ago when I tried the Pinaud-Clubman talc I was so impressed that I started looking for more brands making talc. Most of the new cool barber product companies like Suavecito, and BlueBeards Revenge have starting making talc. Even the very popular AXE has gotten into the game. Today’s post will be about the one made by AXE.
First off, the AXE talc is not readily available at your local pharmacy. No clue as to why that is considering the incredible success of the brand. One would assume that the market is ready and wanting such products. I suspect that AXE does not see it’s target customer in North America wanting such a product. With the multiple uses of talc specially for the sports focused lifestyle (runners, cyclist, body builders, etc…), it should be an immediate success. All that being said, I did find a bottle of this talc on AMAZON from a partner vendor. The price was right at less than $10 and the order was placed.
The delivery was a bit long considering how fast Amazon normally ships your purchase, but 3 weeks later I was trying this stuff out.
I was actually impressed by the talc and its dispensing mechanism. Simple and mess free. The talc is white and as with all talc’s it can be messy, but the dispensing solution is very efficient. By having only one nozzle spitting out the talc in a very directed manner, it is easier to work with than a shaker dispensing head. The dispensing head simply tilts to the open position.
Scent wise it doesn’t smell like the hip new fragrances pumped out by AXE. It is rather old-school. Think sweet and spicy along with an element of freshness. Almost like cinnamon if that is conceivable.
Performance wise, this is a good product. It does what it is suppose to do, which is to keep you dry and protect you from chafing. I will mention that the talc from Pinaud-Clubman did a slightly better job as it kept me comfortable for a longer period of time. But because of it’s better bottle design, it makes it a worthy candidate for your talc needs.
