The folks of @oxylux_gw have launched a new soap bar

" OUD FOR HIM "

It is identified as: a Luxury Natural Men’s soap

The bar clock’s in at 100 g and certainly looks the part.

Dark and mysterious.

The key ingredients are glycerine, argan oil and shea butter.

Scent wise this is somewhat of a spicy sandalwood. Quite interesting actually.

As someone with sensitive skin, products with short and natural ingredient lists, this speaks to me.

This won’t come as a surprise to anyone: I’ve been a fan of Yaqi razors and brushes for quite some time.

Pretty much since the launch of Style4men back 2016.

Here are some new additions to the collection.

First off is this aluminum silvertip badger brush. A very futuristic design that I will pair the Sputnik safety razor.

• Shaving Brush: M240366
• Safety Razor Handle: RH2113
• Stand: WRS2309 Beech wood Razor Stand

Then we have an equally modern looking safety razor handle, the RH2113. This is a brushed stainless steel handle clocking in at 59 gr.

Although it feels heavier. The grip is surprisingly secure. Can’t wait to try it.

Last but not least is the beach wood razor stand. This is something I have been wanting for some time as my razor collection has continued to grow. This can house 7 safety razors very comfortably while looking totally stylish.

The perfect storage solution for any wet shaver.

I am at a loss with Instagram....the posts of this past week have all done rather well. Lot's of likes and good views, but the overall Follower count is in decline.

What's going on? I guess I need to feature a sexy Barber shaving something. LOL

I guess that 's the thing, I purposely try to not do exactly like everyone else, but in the end that is what gets the followers.

Do you really just want to see the same thing over and over? All the big accounts are just copying each other. Nothing new, nothing informative.

...ah darn. Excuse me! One the ducks is stuck in something.

I am in the mood for Coca-Cola. Coke is on my mind. I am seeing cola everywhere. I am craving those bubbles, that fizz, the excessive sweetness, the caramel…

I’ve cut cola out of my diet along with all soda pops ao I am going through withdrawal.

A couple of posts ago I featured a Ginger Ale fragrance and that has opened the door to me imagining a cola inspired shave soap and splash.

Although there are many cola inspired fragrances on the market, there is nothing in the shave space that I know of. For what it's worth, I am also skeptical that a cola fragrance would live up to it.

That said, the Ginger ale by Demeter blew my mind.

But it’s not just cola. It’s cola in those few seconds after opening the bottle. Wouldn’t it just be great as a shave experience?!

Not sure what’s going on, but I lost some 180 cool people (followers) over night…

I am a little shocked as my posting pattern or subject has not changed. In fact, prior to that I was growing by 1-3 followers a day.

Go figure… If anything, this is just another reminder that as cool and fun as Instagram can be, we are but visitors. Rules, settings and the good favors of the King can change at any time.

This year I was better prepared and managed to get 3 big re-issues I was longing for on Record Store Day a couple of weeks back.

The one downside is that I was not able to find all of the records on my list in one shop – Turned out to be 3 shops.

I am all about spreading the love...but more in shipping 💰 It is what it is when you live in Gatineau and can’t make it to Montreal and Toronto. So, Montreal and Toronto have to come to you 🚚

I am a huge fan of Sea Salt Spray as a Pre-Styler / Day-After Reviver. Hillside’s option is gentle but efficient in my hair. (2-4 shots)

For the longest time I favored the classic water based pomades as I didn’t really know how to work with cream/paste products.

The CRÈME POMADE by Hillside changed that as it is a creamy product with real personality and hold. A revelation and an all-time favorite. I think this is my third or forth jar. Considering how much new pomade I get to work with in a month, that’s allot.

The comb is my trusted No. 7 Hair Pick by Chicago Combs.

Then a MF has to fight B.O. like he means it – the Woodland Mint by the Rocky Barber Co. works well. Discreet fresh scent, with all day protection without any of those nasty chemicals.

Last but not least, the Fresh Start EDP has turned out to be a serious mood enhancer. Full of positivity and long lasting. This is a citrus based smile.
