The Ritual is the Reward

There are a number of comments, opinions and videos out there on wet shaving.  At times, my own voice on the subject might just be noise.  Ever since I started shaving (around 14) I did so over the bathroom sink with whatever Gilette’s was making at the time and some foam.  Much later in life, I started embracing with both arms the more traditional ritual of a proper wet shave: pre-shave oil, shave cream / shave soap, a fresh blade and finishing things with a splash. In my opinion, a safety razor, single blade razor or straight razor all fit in that space of tools that are used and appreciated by people who understand that the ritual is the reward.  Taking a moment to take care of yourself with tools that that require humility and skills but that turn out a next level results. Over the course of the Style4men project I have tried to convey that message, but this little advert does a great job of it and was worth sharing.
