Beard Oil by CREMO (Forest Blend)
Considering the huge success of our recent CREMO Pomade review, it only made sense to offer you more coverage of this brand. This time, their beard oil goes up on the Test Bench!
Now a day, there are many brands producing beard oil. This makes perfect sense as more men are sporting beards and although the oil is marketed at your beard it also does wonders for your skin. I am a beard oil advocate and believe that beard oils are for every man, from the 5 o’clock shadow to the glorious Viking beard.
Why CREMO?! CREMO is still a fairly new player in men’s grooming. In the past few year they have spawned a full men’s grooming product line. These products are inviting and relevant. In other words, these are products that most men would use as part of their bathing and grooming routine. CREMO has started becoming available in Canada at Walmart and at some of the bigger pharmacies. My first test with CREMO was with their pomade and honestly I was impressed. Affordable price point for a quality product.
The full CREMO line is not yet available in Canada, but I was able to pick up one of their beard oils, the Forest Blend fragrance.
This aroma is reminiscent of pine and tea tree. Think, fresh and woody. A manly and straight forward fragrance. For the simple man that I am, I enjoy this unpretentious composition. The fragrance lasts about 2-3 hours.
The real surprise was the ingredient list and price point at under $15. The top players are: Sunflower seed oil, Avocado oil, Jojoba oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel oil, Coconut oil. These are among my favorites for a beard oil. I am also pleased to report that there are no man made participants. These ingredients at this price point, makes it quite the find.
How well did it perform? It is a light oil that is quickly absorbed by the beard and skin. My mug was moisturize and refreshed leaving me comfortable for the day. Keeping my beard short, I use 1-2 drops per cheek. This oil is so light that I didn’t even have to wash my hands after application.
To sum things up, CREMO wins me over again with yet another impressive and affordable product that does not include chemical players. CREMO has a ‘Reserve” series beard oil with notes of bourbon that I am determined to get and try.
In these strange days, stay safe Brothers (and Sisters, for those of you who drop in).
